Getting started

Connect your Bluesky account

  1. Create an App Password at bsky.app/settings/app-passwords
  2. Go to Profiles in your Cue dashboard
  3. Click Connect Account on a profile
  4. Select Bluesky from the platform list
  5. Enter your Bluesky handle (e.g., alice.bsky.social)
  6. Enter the App Password you created
  7. You're connected! Start scheduling posts

App Passwords let you grant limited access without sharing your main password. Create separate passwords for each app you use.

Questions & Answers

What's an App Password?
App Passwords are special passwords created in your Bluesky settings that let third-party apps post on your behalf without sharing your main password. You can revoke them anytime.

Do you support custom domains as handles?
Yes! If you use a custom domain as your Bluesky handle (e.g., @yourname.com), Cue works seamlessly with it.

Why doesn't Bluesky support video?
The Bluesky API doesn't currently support video uploads. When they add video support, we'll add it to Cue.

How are characters counted?
Bluesky counts graphemes (what users perceive as characters), not bytes. Emoji, accented characters, and complex Unicode all count as 1 character each.

Can I post to multiple Bluesky accounts?
Yes! Connect as many Bluesky accounts as your plan allows. Each account needs its own App Password.
