Questions & Answers

What's a Mastodon instance?
Mastodon is decentralized — it runs on many servers (instances) instead of one. You choose an instance when you sign up, like mastodon.social or fosstodon.org.

Do you support all Mastodon instances?
Cue supports any instance running standard Mastodon software. Some heavily modified forks may have compatibility issues.

What's the character limit?
Standard Mastodon has a 500 character limit, but some instances allow more. Cue uses your instance's actual limit.

Can I set post visibility?
Currently posts are published as public. Unlisted, followers-only, and direct visibility options are on our roadmap.

Does Mastodon support polls?
Yes! Mastodon supports polls natively. Poll scheduling support in Cue is coming soon.
